hi there,

i own a small homestudio ( with a synth, emu sampler, audiowerk 8 and some fx stuff ) and i'm looking for a new mixer, since my spirit folio SX hasn't got enough channels. i was thinking of the Spirit Lx7, 24 mono channels, nice EQ and enough aux sends.. sounds okay to me. now i know it is considered as a *live* mixer. can anyone tell me whats the difrence between a live mixer and a studio mixer? is it just a label that spirit gives their mixers, or are live mixers less good when it comes to sound quality .. ? anyone tried the Lx7?

thanks,
psilo

Does that Spirit mixer have inserts or direct outs on the channels? You need some type of multitrack recorder to get your sounds to tape, then u can mix it later
