SUP MAN, Ive been using FL4 for a few months and Ive experimented by sampling stuff from vcr.

the best way is to open windows sound recorder. > START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > ENTERTAINMENT N CLICK ON SOUND RECORDER.

PLUG IN WHATEVER U WANT TO SAMPLE (DVD, TV, VCR, OR STR8 UP A MIXER WHICH IS THE BEST CAUSE U CAN HAVE SEVERAL SIGNALS SENT) PLUG IT IN UR COMPUTERS LINE IN ...NEXT TO UR LINE OUT WHICH IS PLUGED IN TO UR SPEAKERS.

THEN MAKE SURE WINDOWS VOLUME SETTINGS HAS LINE IN UNMUTED BUT LOWER THE VOLUME PRETTY LOW..ALSO THERES A RECORDING VOLUME PREFERENCE ..U JUST GOTTA LOOK FOR IT..I CANT REMEMBER HOW TO GET THERE.
AFTER U RECORD UR SAMPLE ...OPEN IT IN A WAV EDITOR SO U CAN CHOP IT LIKE U WANT IT CAUSE U MIGHT HAVE A GAP IN THE BEGINNING OR END OR JUST SOMETHING U DIDNT WANT IN THE SAMPLE .AFTER U MAKE IT GOOD ...GO TO WORK WITH IT IN FL..GOOD LUCK YO, HOPE I ANSWERED UR QUESTION
    Express Urself Honestly

a wav editor is something like WaveLab or Sound Forge...it lets u edit wav files...chop them up, add effects, change tempos, etc.

the easiest way to sample is to buy a CD like this on ebay and just load them into fruity loops
