Electric, or acoustic, or electro-acoustic (or both/all three)? Rhythm, lead, or both?
    Amplifier, direct, or both?
What microphones do you have available? What type of amplifier (if applicable)?

As far as resources check-list and preliminary info, that would be a good, basic start...

but what is your computer? what is your audio interface? what other gear do you have (as per gj's questions)?

without that information any advice is going to be pure guess work and my psychic abilities are not what they used to be (at least when I actually have to read someones mind at a distance without seeing their face..... reading what someone wants from their facial expressions and body language is a lot simpler than you might think)

do you have an audio interface?

    do you have a microphone?

    do you have an amplifier?

    what are your computer specs?

what software do you currently use for working with audio?

please answer these questions this time
