problems connecting keyboard to mv8000

hi.

i've a problem getting my mk249c evolution midi keyboard to connect to my roland mv8000. i want to sequence some songs using my keyboard and record onto mv8000.

basically,

mk249c keyboard's midi OUT ---> into MOTU MICROLITE MIDI INTERFACE MIDI IN --> which connects from microlite MIDI OUT into the roland's MIDI IN.

but i've not response.

the same thing happened with my proteus, my MIDI interface wasnt doing the job of combining the proteus with the mv8000 so i resorted to Jack to Jack from proteus to mv8000

can anybody help me here please?

~Press f1 on the sequence screen, f1 is trk paramaters, then go to midi and switch it to 1a and turn the output assign off[thats right above midi on da same screen] Holla at me here or instant messanger if u have n-e otha ?'s!
