Any have any ideas on how i could reduce the noise coming from my pc's case? I was thinking about placing the actual pc in a seperate room and just running longer cables for my display mouse etc... Anyone ever tried this? Let me know, or if u have any other ideas they would be appreciated.

WHAT'S GOING ON THIS IS DJ SYNTH-PHANY AKA MR KNOW IT ALL. THERE IS A NUMBER OF WAYS I CAN SEE DOING THIS. MAKE AN ACCOUSTIC BOX. A SIMPLE WOODEN BOX WITH ACOUSTIC FOAM LAYERED ON THE INSIDE FOR SOUND DAMPENING. DON'T FORGET TO DRILL HOLES FOR HEAT TO ESCAPE. 2 GET THIS SOUND RESISTANT VINYL CALLED VOLARA OR DYNAMAT. THESE COME WITH A STICKY BACK AND YOU CAN JUST LAY IT ON ALL OVER YOUR CASING (EBAY IT). THIS WILL PICK UP VIBRATIONS AND DEFLECT SOUND BACK INSIDE. HIT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS.

Myself and a computer specialist have designed a new case purely for music.

It has been reviewed in this month's Sound On Sound and we will soon be launching this case through my network.

If you have a "next room", put it there. :-)

I personally am a heat-freak; I'd much rather run loud, cool, and fast than box up my case, stuff it with foam, remove fans, ...and fry my hardware on the next day over 85 Fahrenheit.

Trust me on the heat thing - you'll get 50% more performance out of your box if it's cooled correctly. If that means moving it into the next room, so be it.

Hi Mista

The product will be promoted on my site, so I'll keep you all posted on it.
We only just finished the ...ahem...10th prototype, so Martin Walker tested the penultimate version.

No link to it yet unless you have the Sos mag or are a subscriber to their site.

The case is called PaQ.
