I have been told that I need to look into gettin a patch bay to link all of my equip together (mpc2000,phantom rack, motif rack,triton,etc...)
I want to know can anyone tell me what is the benefit of this unit and is there any particular band I should be looking at?

Thanx yall

A patch bay allows you easy access to route ins to outs. If properly setup, you should be able to route all outs to the patch bay, and then jump the outs to in to record them.

Dont know about brands, just look for ones with good solid connectors on them, cheap ones start getting loose after only a few plug switches.

Neutrik - They make a nice 48-point TRS bay for around $100.

That's cheap - Really cheap.

Those $29 goofball boxes are disturbingly cheap - Buy cheap, buy twice.

In any case, you're likely going to spend several times that on cabling anyway, so don't go for the bottom of the barrel.

neutrik is the best way to go. You don't need the TT patchbay's that pro's use, a good 1/4 jack patchbay like MM suggested above is ideal.

other good brands are Audio Accesoires and ADC, but Neutrik is my favorite for sure
