New Studio Pictures

Great setup !! :victory:

I'm changing the look of my own (very small) studio room; I'll leave pictures on this site when I'm ready... (I hope by the end of September).

Cool. I just got rid of the same exact controller keyboard that you have (the nasty 49-key one). I had gotten it a few years ago new in the box for $50 on ebay. I gave it away to my cousin after I bought an Evolution MK 249c.

hey, what do you think of those M-Audio Studiophiles ? I have been lookin at them to complement my setup, but have not actually had any decent feedback from people that actually own them.

Also, you checked out my setup, I got the 2 TFT/LCD screen setup do in my room, check out the pictures on my site (you will need to scroll to the bottom of the page)

Lemme know :]

Replies...

Hi. Thanks for the interest...

1. The studiophiles are good, although the rerverb in that room is h8uge, due to the tiled floors and large dimensions. The studio is normally in another room, but there's no air conditioning in there, so I moved it to the bedroom for the summer. It'll all go back in a couple of weeks... (I demo'd the SP-8B's and sub in another room, they sound really good:))

2. As for a guitar, anything by Yamaha is usually a safe bet. For electrics, choose a Pacifica, they're fairly good and can be really forgiving to the new player.
An acoustic's always the best way to start though, have a play with a couple in the shop and ask the guy/girl (No sexism here) for advice.
You shouldn't need to spend any more that £100 on the acoustic and £150 on the Pacifica. In my opinion though, try for an electro-acoustic...Will save you having to close-mic a standard acoustic if you want to incorporate that sound in your music. (Might cost a bit more though...:( )

Once again, thanks for the interest.

This evening, (finally !) I'm gonna repaint my small studio room.
Last weekend - with a little help of my father-in-law - I already made my customized 19" rack (1m80 high), and now I'm looking for a Moog Memorymoog to finish the whole thing ;) .
And by the end of October I'm gonna finish a new record.
This is what they call in Flanders (Belgium) a "boerejaar".
:victory:

Pictures are coming - probably next week....

Your setups look great guys...

Rhyno... I used to cruise around the CO, if you catch me. Nice setup man.

Just starting and dreaming myself. Reading and doing a lot of research. I share a house with a couple guys I work with, so I've got everything crammed in my room. No real production hardware, just my tables (1200 MK2's), mixer (XONE:62), a really crappy keyboard, and lots of cables running to speakers and my home-brew DAW. It'll grow as I can afford it though. ;)

This is my first post to the board... Looks like an amazing resource. Shouts to everyone.

Excellent setups guys!

I'll be getting my new mixer here anyday now, will post some pics when I get it all setup properly.

Thats a dope setup THM. Is that a homemade rack shelf? If so, was is difficult to make? Im thinking of letting loose the Bob Vila in me and build one. Peace!

Thanx, Rhyno Beatz.
The rack is 100% self-made, indeed, together with my father- & brother-in-law. They are more 'nuts&bolts' specialists, if you know what I mean... :D
