MPC hook up to tha stereo

hopefully some one could answer this question, i just got a mpc1000, 1month ago, and i have no monitors so i hook it up to my stereo and it sound ok i guess, ok. Now i have 2 12" subwoffer that are sittin in my garage, car subwoofers. and i was wondering if i could hook up em to the stereo and if i could would anything happen to the stereo or the mpc?

i already this and the mpc blew up!!! jk. i talked with a car stereo expert and he was sayin to not do that because it has been known to fucc up the stereo and somehow messed with the TV too, so i dont wanna risk anything, so fucc dat, and i was about to do it.
