should the light on the midi input flash all the time when something is plugged in ?! rather then just flash when you press a key on a trigger for example ?!

.. its just my friend thinks it could be broke ..

Nope - your Midisport is fine.....

My AN1x, JP8000 and Trinity all make the input lights constantly flicker....It's MIDI Sync data and 'Active Sensing' that causes this effect. It's nothing to worry about.
