All I need to complete my home studio is a mic booth. How would I go about constructing one for the best sound quality for the least money. I'm pretty good with my hands so I can build whatever needs to be done. Just give me the principles of what it needs to have and I'll figure out the rest.Thanx.

A good rule of thumb is for the dimensions of a mic booth is that you should be able to stretch your arms out from you sides and be about two to three inches from each wall. This makes a nice box. Add to the back of the box some sound dampining materials and you should be all set to record vocals....or if you want a liver sound...use your bathroom, fantastic reverb.

Make sure your wallbox is wired up properly and that your sockets and plugs are labelled well. :D
Put foam or a similar absorbant material on the wall that will be behind the singer and avoid parallel walls.
