looping vs. sequencing

I've read that Cubase is tailored for sequencing more so than looping... I'm familiar with looping, but I'm not sure what the difference is from sequencing???

I'm purchasing Cubase SL3 mainly for the VST support anyway, but just want to know the difference. I'm likely to do most of my looping on my multi track recorder anyway.

I think what they're getting at is recording vs. loop based production. Cubase is great for both.
