how can i know if my amp works linear?

its time for me to buy monitor speaker.
i tend to buy passive ones since ive got a good amp.
i cant find any info of its frequency response.
how can i know if its a good choice to use it on monitors?

(dont ask me for the type of amp. this is a general question)

If the information isn't readily available, I'd be very worried. But if it sounds right, there you go.

Otherwise, you'd have to send it to an acoustics lab and have it tested, which is always an option.
