Hooking an Alesis SR-16 to PC

My friend and I have one, I know how I could go about hooking it up to the PC, what programs canI use it with so like send patterans made on it to the PC. COuld I get something like Sonar or Abelton or FL or Reason, how could I get it to work, Can you guys please help, thanks in advance.
 
You can use it to trigger sounds on the PC and and you can use the PC to trigger sounds ont he sr16. You can also record your beats to the PC via the audio outputs on the sr16.

Any more specific than that and you'll want to have the software handy to do it as things are being explained.
