I cut a couple of holes in my closet wall to install XLR and 1/4" jacks (amature vocal booth attempt). But I really dont know WTF im doing.....I have to solder the three wires (+,- & ground) into either side (female to male). I tried once already with the 1/4" but I only got sound out of the right side of the headphones when i plugged em in. I just need to know exactly how to solder these things together. PLEASE HELP. Thanx

atleast you got sound from it! i dunno man isn't it only mono in the first place?

What are the connections for? It sounds like a mic and a headphone? Like cryptide asked, are you sending a stereo signal through the headphones?

If you want a pass-through connection, you should just connect pin to pin between the two jacks. Just make sure that the wires connecting the top two pins of the XLR cross-over (so pin 1 on the F jack connects to pin 1 of the M jack).
