Help recording

I have a MobilePreUSB ..which is connected to my studio monitors by 2 1/4s and 2 rcas and the microphone .. my voice is only coming through one speaker.. if I switch the 1/4 cords the voice switches from left 2 right.. but the music plays in both speakers.. how do I fix this.. it does it when Im not even in a recording program.. This has worked before on a iMac now I have it on windowsxp pro and it is not working correctly
 
I Did neither is working... I that in Cubase and it does the same.. It also does it out of the recording program. If I was to just speak in the mic now .. it will come out of the left speaker and the left headphone only

i had a similar problem well not problem but question and when recording in stereo sound came out only out the left side and when i thought that i was recording in mono it did too, the thing was that i thought i was recording in mono but actually all i was doing was recording in stereo thru only one channel, wich got me thinking that it was mono.

so make sure that u are recording mono.

Im also using a mobile usb preamp ( just bought it last week :)
