i have never worked with any E-MU modules or their new table top sequencers. i would like to know why they are so damn expensive?

I've played on the planet earth and the mo phat. they're nice and all but i just don't like the fact of using it for real production, it just seems a little cheesy.

E-MU's modules are VERY good.
On this site you can find the full review of the VIRTUOSO 2000, basically a whole orchestra (realistic) in a box with 128 voices of polyphony and 2 real midi ports (32 channels multitimbral)

definitly very good for 1000 dollars

I have Virtuoso 2000 for orchestrated sounds and X-treme Lead 1 for dance lead sounds/rhythms.

Xtreme Lead 1 has 64 voices of poly (factory upgradeable to 128) with single set of MIDI jacks.

You can drive them via MIDI with either keyboard or sequencer.

Excellents sounds from both boxes.
