i'm trying to setup a studio for the first time...... i've been djing for about a year now. What would i need to start out???? I am going to be using Reason 2.0.

I already have P4 computer with 512 ddr ram etc.

By reading the threads on here it looks like i'll need a good sound card and a monitor. Any recommendations??? or good deals?? my budget is about $500. Thx

i certainly wouldn't spend $250 on a consumer card like the soundblaster. granted they are quite good, but they are not designed for music (and they can't record at 24bit/96KHz) and you'd be better getting a card from the likes of:
    MAudio, Lynx, Echo, MOTU, etc.

the MAudio Delta 44 is what I have and it's a beauty. sounds excellent, has 4ins and outs on balanced 1/4" jacks, and can record/playback at up to 24bit/96Khz. a very solid card.
