Building A digital Studio

What's good to use for a digital studio. I'm limited on space right now, so I'm building a digital studio until I can get more space for the hardware. Any suggestions?

What do you have right now, and what are you wanting to do?

Obviously a PC is the main thing, and along with some software and a controller is all you need for a "digital studio"

I have a PC, Keyboard, Boss DR-670, Condenser Mic, Acid 4.0 Pro, and Sound Forge 7.0. I've made upgrades to my PC. I add a 40 GB hard drive, more memory, New sound card, 5.1 sound system and that's about it. How's that?

I believe you are going to need a audio/MIDI sequencer like Logic, Sonar or Cubase. Unless Acid can sequence recorded audio (I dont know, I dont use it).

What type of 40GB drive do you have? 7,200 IDE I hope? And what model sound card?

Thanks.
