I'm wanting to have a crowd bike ride to music and cannot figure out the best way to transmit, receive and amplify music in such a situation. Having a speaker on each bike would be pricey and interference would be a problem alternatively using a single (or even a few) speaker/s would weigh the bike down to the point where it would be difficult for the general cyclist and the cyclist carrying the sound equipment to remain cycling at similar speeds. Does anyone have any thoughts on the best way to transmit sound to a group of 100 cyclists?
 
I've seen some portable soundsystems on a cargo bike - I guess the tricky part for something like that would be that you'd also need some kind of a generator.
