how do you mix jah b-lines into the rest of the track. I get loadsa trouble with finding a punchy bass sound. Even using all the obvious tricks like rolling off eq at 500hz and boosting the 250hz eq, emphasising different frequencies in the kick drum and b line, and giving it some high end boost, my basslines still sound way off in what is otherwise a perfect mix..

any ideas?
