Amp or USB Pre-Amp?

as u might could tell Im new...but im wondering which I would be better off with: a USB Pre Amp or A Stereo Power Amp...because my setup so far is my Laptop(Audigy Soundblaster sound card), Midi COntroller, 1 Turntable & Samson Monitors...which amp would i be better off with?

I had the Mbox and the pre wasn't all that great. USB isn't the way to go with music, it's too slow, at least in my experience.

If you have USB 2.0, you should be fine...otherwise it is very slow
