6000$ for a Home Studio... What would U buy???

If i was limited to a $6k budget i would get..
$1.5k extra and....

- A mac running logic gold + sounddiver.
- Emu Xlead Turbo (xlead/ zr instrumental and
mo phatt in one).
- Some nice Akai or Emu Sampler.
- Good masterkeyboard, if it fits the budget a triton.
- One of those Emagic AMT8 thingies so i can
use max midi channels on all machines.
(the xlead comes with 32 v-midi channels
try wiring that analog..)
- if there's some spare change i'd get some
cheap e-p's/compressor..

With this setup (with the sounddiver / xlead turbo combo) you can do about anything you want from
pop to hardcore techno.... and it sounds great too...:)

IMHO x-lead and mo phatt sound just a little bit too cheesy. If you really want to create something new, get a v/a synth like Novation Supernova 2, Waldorf Q, Nord Lead 2/3, etc...

Oh and so I won't be totally off-topic:
if I had $6000 to invest in my studio right now I'd spend it on a Tascam DM-24 mixer, nice pair of monitors, sub-woofer, monitor stands, rack mounts and some acoustic panels.

PS. Triton as a master keyboard is a bit exxaggerated. It's a sampling sequencing synth work station for crying out loud.

Just get a plain simple midi controller keyboard with some programmable knobs and save your money for something more useful like a sampler or Roland XV-3080.

This was just my $0.0002.
