Turkish style strings and guitar, Latin bass, and southern African percussion. Vocals by a Peruvian-Polish jazz singer that I used to play bass for a few years ago singing a song that she does with her jazz band now. Seems like a totally random mixture, but I think it works.
Anybody here recognize the original song? It's not hugely popular, but Ronnie Spector also did an awesome version of it.
