The old school sample sounds great! The rap vocal sounds like it needs further processing. It sounds like the vocals and track (beat) are fighting each other in volume rather than blended together. I would turn down/pan the horns a bit to open more of a space for the vocal to breath. Other than that, keep it up!

Secondly, really feeling this track. The lyrics are authentic and you, which, to me, always makes a song easy to relate to. I love the beat in particular (I'm on a similar wave, as you heard).
