That's dope dude! I'm really digging how you flipped the sample and that crunchy snare really sets it off. You have some variations in the flip of the sample every now and then, but I think you could even change it up more at times to break up the monotony of the sample. But like you said, going for a lyrical type track, the focus will be on what the rapper is spitting and the beat won't need too much variation, I think. Hope that made sense, overall, very dope. Good work!
