it's not my style so I can't say nothing professional about it. I can write only what I feel when I listening it.
About beat.. Sorry, but I don't like it. For me it's just one synth and bass. Nothing special for me.
Maybe "alternative" is like this , but I'm not pro in this category so I wrote only my feelings.

I like the simplicity of the track, but besides the thicknes of bass and melody i think that it needs some more elements to be fuller. Vocals sound nice and unique, well done!
