Interesting man, there's some really cool noises/instruments spread throughout this that you really gotta listen for. I will admit that the "funky" vibe isn't my taste per se, but I think it's well done and has a lot of great elements in it.

Not totally. I usually start with some sort of preset, but change it a little or add effects to make it a little different.

Oh my god, i have much respect for your style. This sounds little different from your typical style. Dont get me wrong i really like this, i really like drums. I like hats and snares. Percussion is also great. Good job and good luck!
