I finished up this track with my homie Cee The Scholar over a beat of mine. Production and mixing is handled by me and all vocals are handled by Cee The Scholar.

It is the third release from my upcoming mixtape “A Dying Culture”. The mixtape will be released on August 1st, 2013.

Please give this new track a listen on Soundcloud.

Dope lil oldschool vibe with this track. Mixing can def use some work but you got lyrics bro. Hit me up if you wanna collab!

peace!

Short but sweet. Dude's flow is crazy and the bassline is smooth as hell. Also digging how the keyboard comes in at the end. I feel like the piano intro goes a little long, and the piano loop should be mixed more to the front and maybe some reverb or something so it's less dry. Dope track!

Check this beat I just made:

Thanks. The reason the piano isn't that up in the front is because I put an LPF on it to keep the focus more on the bassline, vocals, and drums.

this is a crazy track man, unsure as to what your saying in parts but most of it is pretty cool, I like the piano intro but it feels a bit overpowering after a while.. apart from that I like the crazy feel to it, keys are all over the place lol thanks for the feed!

nice flow, good energy. i agree with the other comments, the beat needs some eq and polish to bring alive, the vocals need some de-essing also

The vocalist was crazy (in a good way).
As far as the beat goes, I'mma lil biased since I don't really do boom-bap, but I can still appreciate a decent track when I hear one. My only knock on this one would be the overall mixing of the song. As far as the sample and drums go, it is what it is...which is boom-bap. To me it's not super extraordinary but it isn't mediocre. The track did what it was made to do, which was to be a vessel for the vocalist without getting in the way of him. On that note, I think that was accomplished.
