Hey guys, so i've been producing for roughly 1 month or so now, managed to get my hands on some vocals and have had a play around with the track intro for a bit. Have a listen and let me know what you think!

PS: As you can probably tell the track is still under going and the next part is the big dirty electro in your face :)

EDIT: https://soundcloud.com/chris-barbour2/what-have-you-got-to-lose-ft-3- Intro Edit with a hint of whats coming up after the drop (The Electro melody is still being worked on that was just a quick put together)

Thanks,

Barbs

I would say the overall mix is a little dry. If you gave some of the vocals a small amount of reverb to add some environment and thicken that kick with some eq and compression. That kick is whats going to really add body to the song. I can tell this song in its beginning stages, but it has potential! Hope I helped at least a little. Keep it up man. -SiL en ce

There's some great ideas and you're lucky to have a vocalist to be able to work with on your tracks!

I think, like other people have said that adding some reverbs and delays would be a good idea and making more use of some panning would open up the sound quite substantially.

Keep at it for sure!

Cheers Ben. I've added some panning onto the loop of the 'Oh's' on the build up :)

Trying to put together something special for after the drop is proving tricky haha

Edited the intro, check first post for link.

Sounds pretty good. I only didn't like the intro, the sounds used a bit agressive for an intro in my opinion. Also, when the songs starts it gets melodic but the intro lacks on the melodic side so maybe add a bass line to it to spice it up? Keep digging

Try using major chords. They would accompany the vocals nicely. When the vocals come in, have some stab/pad big trance lead to accent the beat or off beat, that'l give it a bit more movement! good work tho mate for a 1 month-er! that vocal loop has a lot of potential, i like it.
