No such thing as too abrupt! Go nuts, be creative! lol Really love hearing chiptunes in an electronic piece of music. Anyway, I can see it fitting into this song but for the full release, just make sure the chiptunes sound a bit more powerful (in terms of volume). They were a bit shy in the mix and didn't really stand out.
