Shingles is a track that is more guitar and theory driven than other songs I have made. I used FL-studio as the DAW but really created the song on guitar first, in the key of a#m and used a progression that I could play in time with a classical finger picking style. Both on acoustic classical guitar and a Jackson electric. I used two pedals for the electric. They are a mini pedal "yellow fall" delay pedal and a Lyon chorus pedal which I used to just give it an out of tune sound. I played the guitar and copied it and bumped it an octave and lowed the higher octave guitar's volume. This allowed for a fuller sound. The drums go under a filter to make it compressed and I used a lot of tru-verb. The beginning has a little synth made in massive and the bassline is a synth as well.
