What do I need to do to make this right??

So when I hear everyone else's beats that use reason and recycle they all sound dope an are on point. When I try to sample something it never matches my project tempo. These are my steps:

1) import sample into recycle
2) find relative bpm of original sample
3) chop chop
4) set tempo in recycle to that of my desired project tempo in reason.
5) save and import to dr octo rex

those are my basic steps and still when I try to play my sample with a tempo of say 94bpm, it doesn't match up still. Any knowledge on how to fix this would be amazing. Peace and love

Timestretch the sample to fit either 1 beat, 2 beats, 1 bar and so on. Not sure how this is done in Reason, but there's a setting in FL Studio called 'Tonal' that ensures the original pitch is not lost.
