what is the dilla siren?

Either its an instrument that im not familiar with or its from a record that I don't know about. Do any of you have any idea?




It's used all thruout donuts.. it has a very organic sound to it when its used in Erykah badus "telephone", which i couldnt find on youtube.

I saw an interview a while back where Dilla himself or someone who knew him was talking about that siren, I think they've even mencioned the record from where he sampled it. Don't know where I found it, if I come across it again I'll remember to tell you.

He actually made that beat by sampling a beat from Dila known as "Gobstoper" from the album Donuts. So it's still a Dilla record, sample-ception.
