when doig a voice sample do you try to put the voice over the instrumental you made out of the sample or do you just strictly work with the voice alone. i know this may not be to clear but if you understand it please help.
 
as long as you keep your tempo's matched trying to fit the voice you want in is generally not too hard unless the two sampled pices dont sound alike... thats when an accapella comes in handy

yea depends on gettin the chops stretched so the tempos fit and then it depends on the key of instruments and vocals. u could do some pitch shiftin but usually that just take it more off key.
 
thanks for the tips i was beginning to think that no one would reply, but i did find that it is better to keep the sample voice and instrumental at the same bpm that enables you to make smooth transitions.
