i rember someone said the best way to learn to sample is to find a track that has a sample and find the song that the sample was taken from, and compare the two.
can some one give a list some tracks and there samples.please try not to give any of kanyes tracks because i already studied a lot of his stuff.

honestly bro, look on the inside cover of any hiphop artist and usually all of the sample information will be given. That is ofcourse if the samples we're cleared. Good idea though, check out some Dilated Peoples stuff. Alot of Alchemist beats on Dilateds albums.

I would just say take a stab at it. The first track I sample was a freedie Mercury song. I just chop it up and play it a different way. It all up to you and what you want to do with the sample. This is a good idea to always keep in your head build around the sample. You can learn from listening to tracks but it's better to do ya own thing.

i do know that the sample information is in the album cover but i have a hard time keeping up with album covers and the ones i do have i have studied those.
but i still want to learn a little more before i start really messing with samples.

some artists have cd's of just the raw material that they got bit sand pieces from...

two that come to my mind are

Fatboy Slim/Norman Cook- A break from the norm

and

Dj Shadow- Lost and Found

.

another cool trick here is to listen to an artist from their earliest stuff and then on... you can hear their progress and new tricks that they had learned appear newer and easier to identify. Also, listen to people who are fairly new to sampling (intermediate)- things that they do well will stand out more from the blah...and you can almost always ask them how they do what they do... in a word, access :D
