I've come to a realization that i suck at finding good samples,.
when i do end up finding a cool sample i like i do it justice and end up with a dope beat,...
the problem ends up being my trouble when it comes to consistently finding good samples,...
    any techniques im probably neglecting?

You just gotta keep diggin, they'll turn up more often and you'll develope a more trainer ear that can more easily catch those loops.
I sample vinyl and have a much easier time finding samples today rather than say 5 years ago.

Only thing I would suggest is making sure you sample stuff in and give it a go.....even if you aren't 100% sure its a good sample.....

I went through a phase a few years back where I was looking for perfection in the sample before I actually sampled it.....I was frustrating myself......because it doesn't always work like that.....sometimes you can make a nice beat out of an average sample....by looping off-beat, heavily chopping & rearranging etc....
