anyone know of any good bands/artists that i can sample modern sounds and stuff from? like synths or something, if you know what i mean. for like upbeat club kinda records

its hard to explain but any help would be great
 
thats the thing, i only listen to hip hop and completely oblivious to anything outside of it besides a little rnb and old samples i find

Not my region of expertese either.

I know Rock, Pop, Hip Hop RnB, even Classical from multiple time periods, but know nothing of Techno/Electronica.

I can give you some names that are overly popular.

The Prodigy
Kraftwerk
Madonna(can't remember the albums, but she had some synthy stuff)


Also, don't overlook Disco/80s stuff.
Yarborough and People
A Taste of Honey
New Edition's old albums


I'm honestly not thinking of many good ones because I usually don't sample synths.

But above all check out Kraftwerk and look for similar stuff. That will put you in the right direction.
 
80s singles, EPs and albums are some of the cheapest on vinyl.

Can't think of any titles because I'm not really into that stuff but I assume you mean a gary numan type vibe.
 
seriously most electronic music to this day uses roland TR 707 or 909 drums in their music and only those most of the time. some may use 808s but its not required or often
