Dunno If any of you remember these shows - Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds, Stingray, etc, 60s puppet action shows. They have some hilarious dialogue, great dated voices and plenty of incidental music and sound effects.....I recently downloaded a season of Captain Scarlet and realised i needed to make a beat tape from it.
The audio is pretty grim though, dialogue samples are fine, but music and effects don't sound too hot. I tried already to make something but gave up fearing the sound would be too bad, but don't wanna give up.
Any tips on how to maximise shitty audio for best effect? I guess maybe i could try and fill out with some sub bass/synths.
I'd like to hear any views on the subject and whether anyone would be down for makin a thunderbirds beat tape, for example.
