I'm new to the site but I saw this question on Google.
The usually way is looking at the writing on the run off grove.
First pressings will have two digits and it will always start with the number one followed by a hyphen and a letter.
i.e. 1-A, 1-C etc.
in the late 60's and 70's first pressings were also made better, thicker cardboard jackets and more vinyl used for better sound.
So if after a year, this question remains unanswered .... here's some help.
