    Waves plugins question

Hey everyone, I know all plugins cause some sort of latency, but when Iím using waves plugins on my vocal chain they seem to always add a bit of noticeable latency, even when the plugin doesnít report any latency. For instance, if I put a doubler on my dry vocal track, it always comes in a tiny bit later than the dry vocal would. I have to go in and nudge my vocal tracks up to get them matched up with the timing of the original dry vocal. Is this normal? I have a 2019 i7 iMac and a UAD Apollo twin with FL Studio so I figured this shouldnít be an issue. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

Have you enabled Plugin Delay Compensation - PDC?

    Certain Waves plugins do this.

theres a couple of them that I can't use because of this issue. And yes, PDC is enabled, settings are appropriate... but certain plugins still cause a delay.

My fix?? There are other plugins that do just as good of a job, if not better, than the Waves version that cause these issues.
