UAD vs Waves Plugins - big difference?

I have a few questions about the uad plugins.

I have already the waves plugins and I am thinking about to buy a UAD-2 Quad Satellite for 1000 dollar. There I get "Analog Classics" Plug-In Bundle with LA-2A Classic Audio Leveler, 1176LN/SE Classic Limiting Amplifier, Pultec EQP-1A and Realverb Pro.

So my question to you guys:
- Is it the money worth to buy these plugins when I have already the Waves Plugins?
- Is there a big difference between uad and waves plugins?

I know there are already a lot of similar threads with the same topic but I just wanted to ask you guys what you think about it.

Yea there not much benefit to buying UAD plugins unless your looking to to save DSP buy using the apollo...

I have both, I use only UAD now. totally worth it!

I have nothing against Waves or UAD. But I personally believe that what you are looking for the IK Multimedia T-Racks plugs will sound the best, particularly for 'emulation' stuff you mentioned like the 1176, LA2a, Pultec, etc. And the fact you won't be tied to hardware is a bonus. You know how many UAD cards I would need to run the number of IK compressors and EQs I use on a mix? I don't think UAD even makes a card that powerful!
