So I'm going digital....

I'm switching to digital after using an 8 track to record my vocals. I want to get an audio interface that will let me record directly onto my computer (such as an Mbox, etc.) but I really don't know anything about what to get. I'll be using it exclusivley for vocals with my Rode NT1a. I already have an emu 1212m, as far as money I'm looking to spend 500$ or less.

Any help would be appreciated.

You're not gonna get anything significantly better with $500 as far as interfaces go, so you might want to consider spending the money on a quality preamp - like the FMR RNP.

If you want quality look at a Lynx One. Lynx products are noted for their very low jitter clocks. Several years ago when I switched away from Echo products to Lynx Aurora line I was amazed at how the stereo imaging and details of mixes became much more apparent.

Opps my bad I see you are looking for a preamp actually. Then I go with what Krushing said.
