Yeah, Im new here and I have a question for anyone who can answer it; Is there ant possible way to buy some kinda software that uses a mic hooked up to my PC and lets make a rap CD?....My group and I dont wanna use a regular studio.

i would think almost anythign that has a recording feature shoudl work... (I KNOW Cakewalk has a recording one for guitar)... it all depends on what you want to do with your vocals...(Is it only vocals?) afte ryou get them into teh computer... But I woudl imagine that most anythign woudl work.. hwo much you spend depends on what kinda of quality you want

so you want to "record" the vocals as "audiofiles" on your pc-system.

you need wavediting software like "steinberg wavelab" where you also can lay interesting effects on the recorded file. you also need an active-micro and a "line-in" at your soundcard to connect the micro for sending the datas into your harddisc.

thats all. but when you wanna rap, you surly also need software to make the right beats behind the vocals. isnt?
