I recently wrote an article about the top music production schools and universities that offer programs in recording arts. I was hoping to hear from some of you that have graduated from or attended one of these schools, or any other with similar programs - Here's some of the questions I'm interested in hearing your answers to:
How was your experience?
Do you feel that the knowledge, experience, opportunities gained from attending or graduating from one of these schools justifies the price of tuition and other fees?
Also do you feel like the positive nature of this article accurately reflects the experience of music production schools, or was your experience less enticing than the picture painted in many "reviews" and "evaluations" of these institutions?
How have the courses you've taken impacted your career in the music production field?
Do you feel that you could have been just as successful without the education?
Would you recommend the school you attended to others?

Waste of money.

Use e-Books and DIY methods.

Depends on if you're running an independent business opposed to wanting a placement at a professional studio.
