    Hi Guys
A bit of a noob here.
I have heard many producers mix and EQ instruments around the vocal.
I like to have the vocals well upfront ( all instruments are synths) I try to keep my arrangements simple
and hopefully have chosen suitable sounds/textures as not to compete too much with the vocal.
So my question is this... how do I approach equalizing the synths and maintain their presence without compromising the vocal..
eg. do I scoop the synths slightly around the frequency bandwidth where most of the vocal energy is.
    Thanks
    Bryzar

No hard and fast rules. Could you post an example, along with some notes on what you did to get there?
