Mixing and Mastering with Adobe Audition

Could someone tell me more about mixing and mastering rap vocals with adobe audition.....I've been recording with it for 2 yrs but I can't get the quality sound I want. I want to know what I'm doing wrong. I use adobe effects and I have waves. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks

Your best bet is to google "the art of mixing". Apply what learn from the book and if it still doesn't help... possibly look into getting a better setup or try going to an engineering school.

Just start researching anything you can find on mixing. EQ, compression, reverb, the whole 9. Mixing is something that once you start learning, you'll never finish, so sit tight.

youll spend your entire life answering this question. so try and not overwhelm yourself it can be alot too take in at first.
