Mixing the drop :D

hey guys when youll mix the drop is it intentionally abit louder than the rest or is it the same volume throughout the track ??

Well, it may appear to be a louder output signal because more sounds are being used and all that. But people don't mix things at 2 different volumes throughout the track in most cases. I'm not saying there isn't a time for it, but it definitely isn't a normal practice. Keep it all the same level, a good mix is what makes it sound louder and in your face.

One of the most common things to do is to automate the master volume right before the drop. So, say, having your build up at -1dB then when it gets to the drop, automate it to 0dB. Just 1dB can make ALL the difference. It's crucial to have your drop louder than the build.
