i asked this question on another thread but nobody answered it (maybe cuz it wasnt my thread?) anyways i was thinking about buying a minidisk recorder to master my stuff on but if there was a software that people liked better (t-tracks or something) id buy it. by the way.... id be using an aphex aural excitier and some other effects with the minidisk.

I've heard tell of issues using minidisk for pro-audio due to compression loss, so maybe someone can jump on that one.

My opinion on T-Racks is that it's garbage. They spent too much time making a snazzy interface to spend time making the settings comparable to something like Wave's C-1 compressor and a handful of other Compressors.

Waves Renaissance Mastering Compressor is fairly nice as well.

As for EQ's check out waves or Native.

But my opinion on T-Racks is it's a waste of money.
