I didn't watch the video but I've been doing this for a while and I can see what you are saying. When I first started I made some pretty wild EQ hills and valleys and these days my EQ'ing is minimal but still necessary. I do think there is a tendency to do too much when you first start out and over time you kind of realize it's best to just use EQ to cut unwanted frequencies and to use boosts as little as possible.

well it also greatly depends on the material you put in.. if the recordings are excellent you dont have to do much ofc![]()
