Instead of raising the volume of your vocals i would try to lower the volume of the rest. Thats probably the best thing you could do if your mixdown is already good.

Saying 2 exact opposite things is not really deep... It's logic. But as you wish.

What frequencies are the vocals at? Try boosting like 8K+...have you tried adding saturation? This tends to brighten things up a bit. Also, mess around with the width of the sound. You may want to bring it closer to around 50-75% as this will put it more in the middle of the mix (depending if that's what you're looking for). This should also give you some head room
